Our Instructors


Kevin

Kevin Sheridan began training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in 2001 under Fabio Clemente in NYC. He was fortunate enough to have incredible mat coaches, starting with Marcello Garcia, then later, Lucas Lepri. He is an avid competitor and loves the gentle art of jiu jitsu.

Kevin enjoys helping others in health, life and BJJ. He values gratefulness, spending time with good friends/family, and being outside. He is married to Heather (of Revel Yoga, also in the studio) and has two kids, Phinneas and Harper.

There are no package options for private lessons with Professor Kevin. Please purchase single lessons before each lesson.

 

Yani

Yani Reyes began training under Renzo Gracie. She obtained her blue belt from Master Renzo. Then, she began training with Fabio Clemente. She received her purple belt from Fabio. Then, she moved to NJ and began training under Prof Kevin Sheridan.

She is the first female black belt under Kevin Sheridan. She has over 15 years of competition from winning No Gi Worlds, Pam Ams, and World Pro Abu Dhabi. She is a true competitor. She is also a golden glove champion with multiple wins over very tough opponents.

She also has trained and competed in Muay Thai under Coban.

Yani loves competing and helping others. She is working on building the BJJ Female Program in New Jersey. Her purpose in life is to help them achieve success through Jiu Jitsu.

Yani is also a scholar, obtaining a Bachelors degree in Accounting, Masters in Finance, and Doctorate degree in Accounting.

 

Keith

Keith Wittenstein - Black Belt Keith started studying jiujitsu in 1997 with Master Renzo Gracie. After receiving his blue belt, Keith began teaching at the Columbia University Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu club. After receiving his purple belt, Keith took a long hiatus from BJJ to teach yoga and to open some CrossFit gyms and coach CrossFit seminars around the world. Upon moving to New Jersey in 2015, Keith started training jiujitsu again at Sheridan BJJ. He has received his brown and black belts from Professor Kevin Sheridan. Keith loves teaching and sharing his knowledge with others. He still travels on weekends leading CrossFit seminars and teaches morning and lunch classes and offers private lessons.

 

Marco

Marco started training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in 2013 under the tutelage of Kevin Sheridan. He has competed in several tournaments and attended many retreats with the Sheridan BJJ team.

For many years, Marco taught kids karate and soccer. He continues to play soccer competitively today. Marco enjoys having fun in every aspect of his life. Check him out at @bearded__boomer on TikTok and Instagram.

Marco is married to Judie and has two daughters, Sofia and Alessandra.

Sean

Sean Brandt is a first-degree black belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu under Professor Kevin Sheridan. Sean enjoys the process of continuing to develop his game while adhering to core principles that work for self-defense.
